Pedicle reaches 10 to 30 cm, contorted while fruiting; sepal elliptical to ovate,
2.5 to 4 cm in length, bilobed, usu. with
5 to 6 crispate longitudinal wings; bisexual flower, solitary, no pedicle; green sepal, lanceolate, 8 o 14 mm in length; white petal, obovate, 2 to 3 cm in length, with yellow macula at the base;
6 to 9 stamen, with pilogland on the filament, around 4 mm in length; almost elliptical ovary.
Oblong; 2 to 3 cm in length and 8 to
15 mm in width; with crispate wing, persistent sepal and style.
Summer and autumn
Leaves and caulis could be employed for carbuncle and burn.
